Technical requirements and application installation

I. Requirements before taking the test

1. Technical requirements

1. 01 Desktop or laptop running Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating system with minimum configuration Core i3 CPU, 2GB Ram, 50GB Hard Drive. The computer should still works well.

2. 01 webcam that works well, has clear images and fully installed drivers.

3. Stable internet connection, bandwidth minimum is 25Mbps.

2. Install the application

- To be able to participate in the contest, users must install the application as required by the organizer.

A. Install Unikey to type in Vietnamese

Step 1: Download the software installation file. For 64bit operating systems download the file here. For 32bit operating systems, download the file here

Step 2: After downloading the software, unzip and copy to drive C as shown:

B. Install SEB application

Step 1: Download the software here

Step 2: Run file named "SEB_x.x.x_SetupBundle.exe" in which x.x.x will be the latest version when downloaded.

- Select and click on the highlighted area as shown in Picture H.02 below

- The system automatically installs as shown in Picture H.03 below

- After successful installation, the system will shown information as Picture H.04. CLick "Close" to finish

3. Enable Unikey in the application

- To be able to type Vietnamese in the application, candidates choose or click the Unikey icon as shown.

- After turning on Unikey, candidates press the combination key Ctrl + Shift (press the Ctrl button then press the Shift button) on the keyboard to turn on Vietnamese typing mode.

II. Some errors when using the application

Some errors when installing and using SEB

Some notes to help you troubleshoot:

- Do not connect a second screen.

- Connect to the Internet.

- Do not run on virtual machines.

- If there is an error, try uninstalling and reinstalling.

- Try restarting your computer after installation.

1. Cannot run the installation file

The most common cause of errors is due to anti-virus software blocking system files. To fix this situation, you must remove all third-party anti-virus software installed on your computer. Currently, Windows 10 and 11 are equipped with the Windows Security anti-virus tool to safely protect your computer without needing to install any additional anti-virus software.

(Common anti-virus software such as: Eset, AVG Free Antivirus, Kaspersky, McAFree, Avast,...)

To uninstall third-party anti-virus software, go to Control Pannel -> Select Programs and Click Uninstall Program.

Select the 3rd party anti-virus software you need to remove and right-click and select Uninstall..

Continue following each specific program's instructions to uninstall it.

2. No internet connection

When installing software, your computer may encounter this error, the reason is that the computer does not have a internet connection. Please connect to install.

3. Prohibited Display Configuration

This error is because when running the software you use 2 screens. To fix it, just use one screen and reboot.

4. SEB failed to start a new session / Your seb profile cannot be loaded

You will get this error when you set the Windows username by Vietnamese's font . Fix it by creating or changing a new Windows account with Username by English name or Vietnamese without concealment.

5. Virtual Machine Detected

This error occurs when you run on machines that are using virtual machine software such as VMWare, VirtualBox, HyperV, etc. To handle this error, you need to turn off (or even remove) the virtual machine software.

6. Cannot find Unikey tool path

- This error occurs when your system does not have Unikey install at C:\unikey_win64 or C:\unikey_win32 folder as instructed in the application installation section.

- You choose the path to the folder containing Unikey.
